Did it matter? On measuring the impact of Conservation Biology research.
Convened by: Janne-Tuomas Seppänen
How to best judge and measure the impact of Conservation Biology research? Or should we attempt to measure it at all - what is measuring good for?
This session offers five talks on different aspects of impact: relevance of the field in the face of rapidly deteriorating planet, best ways to understand the impact of unpublished work and grey literature, achieving evidence-based interventions, to tools and rationale of effective dissemination, and proper ways to use scholarly citations as measure of impact.
After the talks, a Q&A session between speakers and audience gives an opportunity to challenge and develop the ideas discussed.
